Information(For the participants who come after me)

Because I leave for Japan tomorrow, I will keep it short

I am sorry I submit my report just before the deadline

First of all, you can use wi-fi for free over here. Therefore it would be convenient to have a laptop. Of course you can use your cellphone to connect to wi-fi as well.

Furthermore, it is important to backup all your data.

I am ashamed to tell you, but when I arrived here my iphone was stolen immediately. The project members helped me to report the theft to the police.

Luckily I have an insurance that granted me a reduction to buy a new phone, provided I had proof.

My data was preserved, because by chance I happened to have made a backup before leaving Japan, and for a moment I was really happy that I did that.

Because these things tend to happen to me a lot (or is it just carelessness?) I make sure to backup my PC, cellphone, digital camera and other devices immediately.

As for creditcards, it seems that debit cards are common, so I could not use my credit card a number of times.

It really is a card society over here, and even inside the student cafetaria I had to pay by card.

On the other hand, my room was near public transport facilities, so that made me a little happier.

I can sleep in every place, but for those who care, earplugs and a sleeping mask might be necessary, as the sun does not set before 23:00 during midsummer night, and even now the sun does not set before 21:00.

Inside my room I take my shoes of, and use the disposable slippers which I brought with me.

Normally there are eco-bags at the supermarket, so I borrowed a bag at the warehouse.

I washed everything by hand, but it is convenient that the washing detergent is split into little pieces.

I also brought disposable towels, and I plan to throw them away and return home.

I often ask people for directions, and gave a candy (bekkōame, a traditional Japanese candy) to the people who helped me in the train. (the candy tasted like the ones my grandmother in Ōsaka had.

It is really popular. It is not very dry, but maybe it is good if you have a throat candy.

And a handkerchief and pocket tissues are indispensable.

It often rains over here. Of course you can put up an umbrella, but because the weather changes very rapidly, I stopped putting up my umbrella on the third day.

Instead, I brought my handkerchief with me and wept my wet face, coat, bag and so on dry.

Clothing dries very easily, so maybe it’s good to choose that it is ok that clothing gets wet.

The mornings are cold.

I brought an ultra light down jacket from Uniqlo (a Japanese clothing chain) and it turned out to be very convenient. It is small, light and dries very easily.

I spent about €72,- on food. Rice, bread and wheat flour are incredibly cheap. Using wheat flour I made Okonomiyaki (Japanese pancakes), udon (Japanese noodles) and pizza. The corner with Indonesian food was especially cheap, so that was priceless to me.

Cheese, milk, and yoghurt were available in large amounts and I got into drink yoghurt.

The selection of beers was also abundant. At the liquor section in the supermarket near the Heineken experience they have a considerable amount of different beers.

Luckily there was soy sauce in the refrigerator. And there was a lot of tea.

At the market there was a bag with abandoned vegetables which were sold voor 50 cents a piece. It seemed to be a fixed part of the store, but I was wondering why… I often looked for suitable vegetables and bought them.

I bought a pillow cover at the bedstore made of raw fabric, because the previous one was thrown away. I did not really shop that much.

I rode to various places on my bike and had a good time.

Like that.

It is a really interesting town. It is friendly. Something you have to be aware of.

I think you can certainly feel the greatness of this country.

Well, that’s about it.

Let’s hope it will become a wonderful stay!!

Thinking…

Ellie

April 28. Talk with people to attend choreography course this day. It is as if we had planned to WS originally, but it was not carried out because it was and could not notice much, of the condition of each other. Sometimes it is from Kansai in the same age with her, it is possible to speak without putting on airs. And that of the performance she went to a little before, that I felt for the throw pillow so far. That of the Netherlands, about Japan. I’m not here to stay only a short time, but really, this project has met a lot of people really chance, I had the opportunity to speak.

It was felt terribly, I thought whereas there is a (care) between the generation in Japan, the Netherlands that’s very flat. I think it is that there is a little of course, but I did not feel almost. Various race I live a lot, it seems to be accepted at first glance, but, in fact, to be or not. Most people are forgiving, and very kind, but I felt like there is also a kind of one side.

I thought because it was carried out in a short period of time in various places WS, it was a very necessary time to spit out that you felt that it was talk doing this.

April 29. I go to the place where the final performance. Ellie and the graduates of Ritveld Academie and Emiko of project partners. Mr. Ellie’s specialty is textile. After visiting, I told summarizes the thinking of yesterday. Thereupon, I spoke at a coffee shop How to use studio, what to do with the structure of the performance. Have come to Japan she, and the difference of both countries, and was able to speak about the place that does not change. It was a very good time towards the performance of tomorrow.

23  Apr. At the yoga studio.

We had to borrow your yoga classroom towards the project members Rassharu through this day.

Participants 11 people, including me. The person who bisiness thought towards its acquaintance, to be a yoga class or a normal person who is learning and Culture Centre is the Japanese, also, who Rassharu involved in the project, the more variety was please hope you’llcome.

stretch with each other is called the First name, using the pillow. I should be doing in high spirits and you split. Throw pillows in the place that has been unwound and body.  innocently, I’ll play boldly. Or try doing changing the rules a little.

After that, I had talked about “a restful place, your favorite places” theme.

where he was Dari thoughtful but, after all, wonder if there is a fixed location is one in the mind? I felt.

gestures and are talking that, from the image of the place, we will remove it to make a movement. himself, eh? It Did not work like this? How was such a cut-out. • by connecting is done with sound, it.

even though I did not only a brief description of the sound, I was surprised to really figure you get along without hesitation. In particular, do not restlessly who was alone at the time of silence, and I was impressed to have spent the time quietly

25Apr At Rietveld Academy

you have never had direct only once this day , we made room of glass under .. , of the University of ” Glass Pavilion ” person of the graduates of this university support .

anyone I did not gather at first, but after a while over the announcement , in the ” here  The I heard ‘ll throw pillow ? And “were under .. under .. , Professor joined two rushed anything of people a very reluctant . Also, People willing to visit because it is glass , there were many .

The procedure is the same as in yoga , but the theme at this time , ” What is a dream of your childhood ?” Can you ashamed ? And I thought , but it seems to get used to people of this country that announce in front of people , and gave me the answer , even remembering , and lucidly comparatively .

In addition , the relationship between professor and student in extremely flat , did not have a thing called “wall” from before the throw pillow .

In order to get rid of the walls of the generation in particular, those that “play” is I or was necessary in the case of Japan, but there was and is surprised that he’s not the case. And, there is only art school, and the people feeling very good, I was able to dance dance also over the music in there is no indication of words.Image

At TERAKOYA

We had a throw pillow yesterday.

They were interesting in the pillow cover colorful.
It does not make the rules in the beginning.
I do have to own as you want.
I just watch it.
Their society can be done among them.
And you can see how to play their own.
I want to simplify the movement that can not be our choreographer put vibration.

Also, I did also throw pillow people adult.
